Locus of Points Equidistant from a Given Object(s)

    1)    r units away from a point---a circle with radius r and whose center is the point
    2)    two points (segment)----a perpendicular bisector of the segment formed by the two points
    3)    three points---one point
    4)    n units from one line----two parallel lines n units from the original line
    5)    two parallel lines---one parallel line between the two parallel lines
    6)    an angle----the angle bisector
    7)    two intersecting lines---4 angle bisectors or two intersecting lines
    8)    a line and a point off that line---a parabola

Intersection of loci--How many points two or more loci have in common
    1)    First, draw the given
    2)    Sketch the first loci
    3)    Next, sketch the second loci
